Sun sign
The zodiac sign occupied by the Sun. It is not determined by the Moon and can differ from both your Moon sign and ascendant.

One of 27 smaller lunar mansions. A Nakshatra spans 13 degrees 20 minutes and adds a finer lunar position.
Why calculators can disagree.
Differences usually come from the zodiac reference, timezone handling or an uncertain birth time, not from the label alone.

Is my Moon sign the same as my Sun sign?
No. They come from two different celestial positions. The Sun remains in a sign much longer than the Moon.
Is Rashi always the Moon sign?
In many Jyotish contexts, Janma Rashi or Chandra Rashi refers to the Moon sign. “Rashi” by itself simply means a zodiac sign, so context matters.
Can my Moon sign change during one day?
Yes. The Moon moves into a new sign roughly every two and a half days, so a calendar date alone cannot resolve every birth reliably.
